IRCC announced the public policy which came into effect on August 24, 2020, to allow all visitors who are in Canada with valid status to apply for an employer-specific work permit from inside Canada. - The foreign national has submitted an employer-specific work permit application
- The foreign national has remained in Canada with legal status since application submission
- The foreign national has submitted the application on or before February 28, 2023.
